Apple initiated a new public beta program for OS X, a practice not seen with its operating systems since 2000's US$29.95 Mac OS X Public Beta, which had preceded the release of Mac OS X v10.0. Yosemite is part of the OS X Beta Seed Program, a public program that allows the first 1 million[22] users to download and test the Yosemite beta at no charge. In it they say that they tested Photoshop CS6 through Photoshop CC and found no issues. However, the comments section of that post contains a lively discussion of issues some users are running into. Hi Ben, as I wrote in the article above, Photoshop CS2 was coded for Macs running PowerPC processors and the last version of OS X to run PowerPC code was OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. No version of Photoshop CS2 runs on Intel processors. The Photoshop update coded for Intel CPUs was Photoshop CS3 (2007), which was a paid upgrade and is no longer available for sale new.
