Note: If you have other models in the same folder as you bmodel, you will have to rename them to the same name as your model so they don't get overwritten as well. If you are producing a remake of an old model for use on the new model, you do not need to rename it, you do not need to generate new MDL textures, only rename the folder. If you are creating a remake of an old models you have a model in your list, and you are exporting a new model from that same folder. If you are reusing an old model texture you have a texture in the list and want to use that old model texture, then rename the texture to the same name as the texture name of the texture in the MDL.

If you are making a remake of an old model, you can use the same model, just change the model name. If you are reusing a texture for your remake, you can use the same texture, just change the MDL texture name to the same name as the texture. If you are doing a remake of an old model and you have an old texture you want to use, change the name of the texture to the same name as the texture in the MDL.

If you are going to export a remake in a different folder, change the name of that folder to be the same as the name of your MDL. If you are going to export it, you have to make changes to the MDL, you may not be able to have a previous model in the same folder with a new model.

If you are not exporting a remake you can leave the model name the same, the only time you would want to change the model name is if you are reusing an old texture for your remake and you are not having the texture used for the remake, then you would want to have two different textures in the same folder.

9. To check if your custom playermodel is working properly, use the following command in the editor:pt_addmodel CustomPlayerModel This should display your playermodel in the new MDL model list, and you can then rename the playermodel if you want.
